Relaxing Massage Back & Hands Ashiatsu

Thinking of someone walking on your back, its hard to imagine ashiatsu as a lighter pressure or relaxing massage. However, having bars or ropes in place helps your therapist support his/her body weight and allows for a variety of pressure. Oftentimes, your therapist will use one foot at a time to work small areas and for more detailed work, such as chest or shoulders or hand massage. Back massage can be performed with deeper pressure, gentle pressure and anywhere in between.

Best Relaxing Massage

Everyone needs to take time to relax. Relaxing helps keep your mind calm and organized and it keeps your body healthy. Stress has a direct negative effect on health. In fact some research has revealed that stress causes or contributes to most if not all known diseases. No matter what else you konw about massage, you likely know massage helps with the negative effects of stress. Rightly so. Even the worst most painful massage will help relax. Just kidding. However, even a massage done unskillfully will oftentimes yield very positive relaxation benefits.

How to Give Relaxing Massage

You can offer yourself or loved one a relaxing massage, apart from booking professional massage. First, you want to aquaint yourself with the kind of touch that feels relaxing. Start with gentle gliding pressure and move slowly. Experiment with pressure and speed gradually. Remember that certain areas of the body prefer lighter touch, such as face, forearms and scalp. Some people who like deep tissue, might prefer medium to heavy pressure in these areas. I find that the kind of “perfect” pressure varies with each person. Actually, light pressure makes some people will feel tense, because they want to feel a therapeutic effect. Since people’s bodies and preferences vary, you should every so often ask your recipient how they like it, and then adjust accordingly.

How often to Get a Relaxing Massage

If you normally get deep tissue or other therapeutic massage, consider occasionally opting for a relaxing massage. How often depends on how often you get massages. If you get a monthly massage, ask your therapist if he or she can incorporate some relaxing techniques every time, if she does not already. If you get a weekly massage, once a month relaxing massage would be a good start. If you get biweekly massage I would opt for a partial relaxing massage every time.

Is Foam Roller as Good as Massage?

Lets consider what exactly foam rolling does for our bodies. Foam rolling has been shown to:

  1. relax the body
  2. improve range of motion
  3. core stability
  4. balance
  5. body awareness
  6. flexibility
  7. coordination
  8. and focus

These same attributes can be procured from  a good thorough deep tissue massage.  is it as good as? tahst subjective because of what you associate with massage? Human touch, gliding smooth strokes over skin. Massage offers a  three dimentonal experience of having your muscles kneaded, and your body moved and stretched. Some people use foam rolling in place of self myofaschial release or static stretching. I agree that allowing your muscles to be supported and pressed into simulataneously via foam roller lends to a better release than static stretching.

one drawback of foam rollingis that you feel like you are the rolling pin. That actually seems like lots of work. Now imagine you are pizza dough. Relax with the best deep tissue foam roller experience imaginable and much kneaded! ha ha! Ashiatsu really showcases on the back already. Add a foam roller and an elephant… Can do without the elephant 😉 Foam roller offers great amount of control for anyone wanting to give themselves a massage. Foam rollers have a firm yet slightly cushioned feel and are light making them easy to take with you. However, sometimes you need assistance in getting deeper into the muscle. This situation comes up when massaging multilayered thigh muscles and your back. Surprisingly, tight pec muscles in your chest also frequently require deeper pressure. Even the best body mechanics have a limit in how much leverage you can achieve on your own. Why not bring your foam roller to massage studio that offers ashiatsu professional foam roller massage?

Benefits of Chest Massage

Shortness of breath can have several causes, allergies, asthma, and even fibromyalgia. The cause may differ, but similar localized areas of tension in the chest and surrounding ribcage usually develop. Chest massage along with other therapies helps ease shortness of breath and may help resolve it.

Benefits of Breast Massage

Both men and women can benefit from the massage of the fatty connective breast tissue, home to a major part of your body’s detox system, the lymphatic system. Such massage helps improve the overall health of breast tissue, by expelling buildup of toxins and cysts that often get trapped there on their way to the major lymphatic nodes of armpits and breastone. As a result of both men and women can appreciate an improvement in breast appearance too. Due to its ability to reduce swelling, Ayurvedic medicine prescribes breast massage for its analgesic effect for pain associated with breast scarring. You can learn to do this massage on yourself or your partner, or get a professional detox massage.

In any case you should become comfortable with the feel of your own breast tissue. Breast massage can greatly reduce your chances of having breast cancer. Also, your hands can prove invaluable tools in alerting you when something feels different so you can resolve that before it turns more serious.

Alternatives to Chest Massage

To help relax muscles, soak in warm water with epsom salt daily. Warmth helps boost blood and lymph ciculation to the area. You can try acupuncture, and chiropractic in addition rather than an alternatve to chest massage. Ultimately, you should receive chest massage to maintain good health and to release any blockages

Lower Body Massage for Back Pain

Cause of Back Pain

Back pain has many origins. Sports injuries, improper overuse injuries and even improper single use injuries all commonly cause or contribute to back pain. Many people talk about age related disc and joint degenerative disease as another cause of pain. Degenerative disease causes symptoms of cartilage or the bony joints themselves actually starting to break down. The simple blanket term “aging”, however, does not adequately explain these phnomena, because degenerative disease can start at any age due to chronic inflammation or an injury. When all else equal, a person’s chronological age does tend to correlate to an increasing likelihood of degenerative disease for the general population, but this happens largely due to diet and habits that may undermine their physical condition. Bad habits may include smoking or exposure to certain chemicals. Health conscious people can considerably reduce their chances of degenerative diseases. One must also learn and practice proper body mechanics and whole body stretches to avoid scar tissue and injuries.

Massage for Back Pain

Massage for back pain can vary depending on the area that hurts and intensity required. Upper back tension, usually requires more emphasis on neck massage as well, as thats where tension usually begins and travels down to shoulders and arms. Upper back also requires different set of techniques, such as tui na, trigger point and specific stretches to loosen the pecs region as well as the scapula. Back pain on the other hand often times originates in the lower body so feet, legs and glutes need more emphasis. myofascial realease technique helps both upper and lower back pain. For extremely tighht dense areas, cupping massage offers a great advantage of breaking up pockets of adhesions deep within, and releasing bloodflow into the tight area, feeding it vital nutrients and oxygen. Regular deep tissue or myofascial massage can then follow to work out the now more pliable knots. Human touch cannot be compared to any tool or machine due to the energy and comfort it naturally produces in the recipient.

Deepest Deep Tissue Massage in Session!

Ashiatsu, the deepest massage you will ever experience, is rockin’ and rolling. The strokes are as light or as deep as you like. Giant gliding strokes from head to toe just can’t be replicated with hands. The foot covers almost twice the area and allows deeper pressure while maintaining a comfort level you are used to. The angle which is almost straight down allows the muscles to lengthen and broaden at the same time allowing more healing blood flow and making ashiatsu very efficient.
