Massage Therapist in North Richland Hills TX

Serving Hurst, Watauga, Colleyville & North Richland Hills

Chronic pain is very much like the Rubik’s Cube of health challenges.  Constant pain is a reminder that your body is interconnected , and the challenge is to restore your body’s ability to work together cohesively.  We are not just another massage therapist in Keller TX. We work towards fixing everything instead of just the surface-level pain that our clients are experiencing. Along with the pain, our clients have tried everything from heating pads to YouTube guided stretches to alleviate the discomfort to no avail.

Then we have athletes. These clients are disappointed with any sudden drop in their ability to perform their sport. They are genuinely confused about the reason behind this drop in performance. Office workers are also common in our practice. Many of them have difficulty turning their heads, leading to further complications. We also see clients who are experiencing or have experienced traumatic accidents.

We offer other doctor prescribed modalities designed to suit your needs and condition, such as therapeutic, medical, and sports massage to improve and maintain performance, rehab for injury recovery, myofascial release, and postural correction.  Below we offer a comprehensive list of massages, organized by category.

Relaxation and Spa Massage

Swedish Massage/Full Body Massage

Mind and body first need to relax and calm. Massage touch that this gentle will leave you with much more than just rest. The therapist uses their hands to make long, flowing movements that will push the blood through your body and remove materials that your muscle tissues have stored. After a long work week, many Keller clients who develop a fatigue make their appointments. After just one session, people usually sleep more deeply and in a series of appointments, clients feel a change each morning. The therapist adjusts to the pressure that the client prefers. Some people ask to be touched in a softer way while others like the touch to be more firm and push through the tight places.

Hot Stone Massage

Areas of your body will have heated stones placed onto them along with them being used to massage out your muscles. The heat penetrates beyond the superficial layer helping to melt tension and aid in the release of tight muscles. This service is the best if there is a change in the season and your body feels stiff. Hot stones have a gentle technique that is preferred by our older clients as it’s still really effective in helping with chronic pain. The increased heat also helps with arthritis. Most people fall asleep in these.

Aromatherapy Massage

It has all the same motions of a massage but we add some oil from nature for a purpose. Lavender makes you sleep and feel relaxed. Peppermint helps sore muscles and head aches. Eucalyptus helps you breath when your allergies are bad and in Keller the trees make it worse.

The oil is soaked into your skin and you breathe it in while you get the massage. The nerves in your body really do feel better when the right oils are used and pain, stress and even stomach issues are helped. Some folks say it is just a good smell so we let you pick your oils or we can pick some for you.

Couples Massage

Sometimes you and your partner need a break, just you two without the stress of work and home chores. A couples massage is when both of you get a treatment in the same room at the same time. Couples often get this for birthdays and anniversaries but in Keller many get it as a once a month reset. Each of you will have your own massage therapist to focus on your needs. One person might need deep tissue to fix a knot in their back but the other might have a bad headache and need a softer Swedish massage.

Pain Relief & Therapeutic Massage

Sports Massage

Massage for Athletes. Athletes who live in Keller already know that sports massage is not something you use only after an injury. Runners who prepare for a marathon, adults who play in local soccer leagues and parents who coach youth teams all rely on the work to stay free of injury, to keep flexibility plus to recover quickly between practices or matches. On the day before a race or game we keep the pressure light so the muscles stay loose and responsive. After the event we slow the strokes but also lengthen them so soreness leaves and the tissues mend sooner.

Deep Tissue Massage

This way of massage is for pain that refuses to leave. When you have a chronic pain that stays for long, when you’ve had an injury that doesn’t seem to get any better, or when you have a tight muscle that doesn’t seem to stay loose no matter how often you stretch, deep tissue massage is the answer. It focuses on the lower levels of your muscles, as well as the connective tissue surrounding each one. The therapist will take their time and focus on the areas of your body that have not had a release in a long time, using a slower speed and more direct pressure on the areas.

Trigger Point Therapy/Trigger Point Release

Works tight areas in your muscles that refer pain to other areas of your that might seem unrelated. We find these painful trigger points and apply sustained pressure to release them. It can be intense for a few seconds, but when the trigger point lets go. This technique works really well for people that have chronic pain or have tried other therapies.

Medical Massage

Your healthcare professional will prescribe medical massage to patients with specific medical conditions such as arthritis, fibromyalgia, or post-surgical recovery. Your healthcare doctor may create a treatment plan with us to address your health issue. Medical massages are clinical in nature and are outcome-based, which some insurances may cover with adequate documentation.

Injury Rehabilitation Massage

If a car accident, sports injury, or bad fall has caused you to seek rehabilitation after injury, we can help. We work on scar tissue, range of motion, and work with your physical therapist or doctor adjusting our work.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage/ Lymphatic Drainage Massage

Lymph drainage can offer relief after surgery, and from inflammation in general, as well as help speed up healing. The lymphatic system is all about the movement of body fluids closely linked to our circulatory function. Sometimes lymph can be a become congested predominantly from sedentary lifestyle, but also from stress, pollution, diet and medications. Lymphatic flow can be helped through the use of very light rhythmic pressure which encourages lymphatic movement through the body.

Massage for Chronic Pain

The aim is to return you to your routine activities without the emergence of any complications.

Massage for Fibromyalgia

The condition produces diffuse pain and an extreme sensitivity to touch which means we start with gentle pressure and over time, work more firmly. The objectives here are the reduction of pain levels, improvement of sleeping, and a decline in the number of tender issues. Many patients with this condition state that regular massage therapy is, for them, one of the few effective methods of managing their symptoms.

Massage for Arthritis

While it is true that distressing ache and swelling in the joints are classical features of Arthritis, JMT can help symptoms of Arthritis. Women's Health & Pregnancy Massages

Prenatal Massage & Postnatal Massage

Pregnancy alters every sensation in the body. Women in Keller tell us about low back ache, ankles that swell as well as hips that feel as though they will split. Prenatal massage places the client on her side, cushioned with pillows – the extra weight across the abdomen does not pull the spine out of line. We skip the reflexology points that could trigger contractions and we change the depth of the strokes to match the week of gestation. After a session most mothers-to-be report deeper sleep or a calmer outlook toward the bodily changes ahead. We have treated clients from the end of the first trimester until forty eight hours before birth.

After giving birth, the body needs support on recovering from the muscle tightening and from previous muscle pampering. In the postpartum phase, we concentrate on muscle soreness, assist with oxygen flow movement and healing. New mothers in frequently share with us that this is the first time they have felt like themselves since they gave birth.

Abdominal Massage

Most individuals do not think about their abdomen needing to be massaged. It is helpful for digestive complication, cramps associated with the period, feelings of bloat, and hindrance of movement in the bowels. We spend time in gentle, slow, and clockwise movements that follow the routing of the intestines. The core muscle group that is engaged with the abdomen is also addressed, as those muscle groups often become tight. This is often associated with poor posture.

Cellulite Massage

Specific and firm pressure is used to improve circulation of the tissues, and break down grouped fatty deposits on the surface of the skin. This is the primary way we manage the ‘problematic’ areas of your body: the thighs, buttocks and any other areas where cellulite appears. With regular appointments, we will help improve the skin texture and greatly reduce the visibility of cellulite.
